Job Purpose
A Regional CFO is the value integrator of the region. The Regional CFO is responsible for calibrating the value generation and continuously improving margin quality, cost efficiency and cash generation of the region. He / she will report directly to the Global Markets CFO and has a strong functional line to the Regional SVP, BU Finance and Corporate Finance and a strong relationship with the other Regional CFOs. The Regional CFO and the Regional SVP are the core team of their region
Key Accountabilities
Business Partnership
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Regional SVP in developing and executing regional strategy
- Key member of the regional leadership team and the global Finance community
- Represent RRPS on boards of Greater China entities and act as the key Financial partner for the regional joint ventures
Financial Management & Reporting
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting for Greater China and its consolidated entities, in compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, RRPS standards, and segment requirements.
- Own external and internal Financial audits , including ensuring audits and resulting audit actions are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain and constantly improve a robust financial controls framework in alignment with RRPS standards and requirements
- Maintain, in partnership with local leadership, a transparent and thorough risk register and ensure appropriate accounting and reporting for the associated items
Planning & Controlling
- Lead business planning, forecasting, profitability /cashflow analysis, and variance analysis for Greater China , including JV participation
- Partner with local leadership to identify and drive value creation, margin improvement, cost efficiency and cash generation of the region
- Own local Commercial Finance and Product Cost Finance in close partnership with BU Commercial Finance and Group Controlling
- Ensure f inancial feasibility of local investment s , merger and acquisition s and other special or ad hoc projects.
- Own all Headquarter and Regional financial management reporting and analyses
Treasury & Tax
- Manage , in coordination with RRPS Group Treasurer and Group policy, banking relationships, cash, foreign currency operations, internal loans as required and dividends
- Ensure tax compliance and optimize tax positions in coordination with RRPS Group Tax Leader and RRPS policy
Distributor & Customer Management
- Approve customer payment terms and credit limits per RRPS guidelines.
- Conduct regular financial reviews of distributors /partners financial health and conduct to ensure it is in line with RRPS guidelines
Accounts Receivable & Payable
- Oversee timely and compliant billing, collection of receivables, and vendor payments.
- Manage dispute resolution and bad debt reserves
Leadership
- Embody and act as an example of the Rolls-Royce Behaviors and Leadership expectations
- Responsible for active development and continuing education of employees and maintaining an active succession plan for the regional Finance team
- Act as a mentor and coach for junior employees
Key Experience & Qualifications
- Proven success in fast-paced, global, matrixed , industrial organizations
- Extensive leadership in Finance, Accounting, Controls and Business Strategy
- Expertise in project profitability analysis, project management, commercial finance, product costing, risk mitigation, cash management and PRC/IFRS
- Experience in business expansion, transformation, and M&A
- Skilled in managing remote teams and indirect resources
- Proven ability to develop world class teams and to develop and promote employees
- Knowledge of the Power Solutions industry is an advantage
- Strong cross-functional, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple simultaneous deliverables
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (Cantonese is a plus)
- Proficient in Oracle Hyperion, Business Intelligence, and SAP
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required
